Ridings response to the racist and violent attacks in the last week

At Ridings Medical Group we are proud and honoured to have staff and patients from all over the world. We have wonderful hardworking team members from many countries who have devoted their lives to the wellbeing of the residents of East Riding of Yorkshire.

We all believe and support an inclusive society that does not mark others out for any reason, be it race, sex, age, place of origin or anything else for that matter. We are a diverse and welcoming place that has been our strength for longer than any of us have been here.

We do not support thuggery, violence, aggression either verbal or physical, in any form or for any reason. This includes any comments regarding protected characteristics including race or religion.

We have a Zero Tolerance to any of these abhorrent behaviours and condemn them in their entirety without reservation.

We can and we will remove patients from our list who contravene this policy.

We are a practice that sees itself as one unit, our staff, our family. There is no place for any form of discrimination and the overt racism that has been demonstrated has no home here, now or ever.
