Flu and Covid Vaccination Update

We will shortly be receiving our delivery of flu vaccines/ child flu nasal spray followed by covid vaccines.

We will be sending out text invites over the coming weeks to those eligible.

The eligible groups are as follows:

From 1st Sept we will be vaccinating:

  1. Flu - Pregnant ladies
  2. Flu Nasal - Children 2-3 and children in at risk groups aged 6 months to 18years.

*Please note that school age children who are not in at-risk groups will be vaccinated at school, we are not able to do them at the surgery.

Also, from 1st September we will be vaccinating 75 to 79 year olds with the new RSV vaccine. This is a vaccine to protect you from respiratory syncytial virus. Due to the appointment length please avoid asking questions during your appointment and instead visit the below link which provides further details on the vaccine:

Pregnant ladies will be given their RSV vaccine through the midwifery services after 28 weeks. Please don’t contact the surgery about this.

From 3rd October we will be vaccinating:

  1. Flu - At risk groups 18- 65 years
  2. Flu – 65 years and over
  3. Flu - Residential and housebound
  4. Flu - Immuno compromised close contacts
  5. Flu - Cares and frontline staff
  6. Covid – Care Home residents
  7. Covid – 65 years and over
  8. Covid - At risk groups 6-64 years.

Please note if you are eligible for both covid and flu we have clinic provision in place to allow you to have both your vaccines during the same appointment.

As always please arrive at your appointment in a short sleeve top to allow our vaccinator to have easy access to your upper arm to administer the vaccine. Coats and outer layers should be removed before entering the clinical room.
